Craig Wilson

Craig Wilson  MSc MIET MBCS CITP

Joining Kent County Constabulary (later Kent Police) in 1991, Craig was a Detective Sergeant heading one of the largest police Digital Forensic Units in the United Kingdom. He has been involved in the field of digital forensics since 1999 and is the Managing Director of Digital Detective Group. He is primarily responsible for the day to day running of the company and the implementation of the companies strategic business plan.  He is also a digital forensic research scientist and software engineer.  He is the author of the forensic software tools NetAnalysis®, HstEx® and Blade®.

He has been involved in hundreds of investigations involving the extraction and analysis of digital evidence and has managed the digital evidence collection plans for serious cases involving terrorism, murder, rape, robbery, drugs distribution, fraud, counterfeiting and paedophilia.

Craig holds a First Class Honours, Master of Science degree in Forensic Computing from University College Dublin.  He is a Professional member of the British Computer Society, a Chartered IT Professional, a Professional member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and a Certified Software Tester through the ISTQB.

Tina McDonald

Tina McDonald  BSc (Hons) MSc MBCS

Tina has been involved in the forensic recovery of digital evidence since 2005 and prior to joining Digital Detective Group, she was employed as a Digital Forensic Analyst with Kent Police Digital Forensics Unit. She has been trained in advanced digital forensics from establishments such as the National Hi-Tech Crime Training Centre based in the Specialist Law Enforcement Training Centre, the Centre for Forensic Computing at the Defence College of Management and Technology at Cranfied University and from Guidance Software, the manufacturers of the forensic software EnCase.

Tina graduated from Hull University with a Bachelor of Science Joint Honours degree in Mathematics and Computer Science.  Since graduating, she has worked as a professional software engineer with over 20 years experience in this field. In addition to her Bachelor of Science degree, Tina recently graduated from University College Dublin with a First Class Honours, Master of Science degree in Forensic Computing and Cybercrime Investigation.  She is also a professional member of the British Computer Society and a Certified Software Tester through the ISTQB. Tina’s experience includes working as a software engineer for Racal Research, Orbitel Mobile Communications, GEC Marconi and Group 4 Securicor.
